Far beyond the music video or the live event, “TALES” brings music alive in a completely new way for television. Through songs like NWA’s “F*ck the Police”, Notorious B.I.G.’s “I Got A Story to Tell”, Meek Mill’s “Cold Hearted” and Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” to name a few, each song’s lyrics are imagined as cinematic adventures with different directors giving “TALES” an innovative twist.

The premiere episode which starred Chet Hanks (Showtime’s Shameless), Boris Kodjoe (Real Husbands of Hollywood) and Clifton Powell (Ray) is a recreation of NWA’s “F*ck the Police” and focuses on a controversial police shooting of a young boy, and warps some of the racial biases and stereotypes we see in today.

During Urbanworld, the fans were treated to another episode of the hit series with the premiere of “Tales”: Trap Queen starring Lance Gross, Michelle Mitchenor and Woody McClain.

This episodes are created by using lyrics of classic and current hip-hop songs and reimagines them into mini-movies. Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen served as the thematic backdrop of the episode.

After the screening the cast participated in a Q&A immediately following the screening of the episode.
